*bows* As a writer, what my reader thinks can be as important as what I’m thinking. Let’s say a million people say “Yay!” and 1 person says “Boo!” I ignore the naysayer and go. But if I have half the people saying “Boo!” then I have to stop and think about what I’m doing. Not saying that I’m wrong, but I might not be communicating as effectively as need be. Or they have to be more patient for the payoff.

Great thoughts on the inner workings of your reading mentality. I do webcomics as well and it is always interesting when someone discloses their reading patterns in depth.

I noticed that you’re just starting that blog off. Writing is a hard calling, but I would hate to have to ride herd on writers; it’d be like trying to herd cats.

Oh, getting out of the writing groove is the story of my life. It’s frustrating and (sometimes) painful. Life gets in the way…then work, where I’m the editor of a national magazine that doesn’t exactly bow to the gods of good writing, though I always make my writers THINK about it.

Anyway, yours are wonderful words for a Sunday or, well, any day.
